"In an attempt to explore the dichotomy of fixed versus migrational living, Djrudijca Kesic has developed a series of accessories rooted in the notion of domesticity. Using her personal belongings in an unconventional manner, Kesic, a jeweler from Melbourne, Australia, has deconstructed these “preloved” objects, such as pillowcases and wooden chairs, and re-purposed them, often hiding within them small, polygonal, house-like shapes. Utilizing these materials as an unorthodox foundation for her work, Kesic has created a variety of wearable odes to the complex concept of home, place and migration."
